Our foundation

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has always been involved in humanitarian work in a discreet manner. She is currently pursuing these actions, in particular through the foundation in her name.
Created on April 23, 2009 and placed under the aegis of the Fondation de France, the Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Foundation’s aim is to facilitate access to culture, education and knowledge in order to fight social inequalities.
The foundation is entirely financed by private funds, individuals, foundations and companies. It acts in two complementary ways: providing financial and media support for initiatives already underway and initiating projects.

The Foundation seeks out and selects these projects. It focuses its efforts on a range of varied programs: simple, concrete, locally based. At the beginning of November, the Foundation launched its very first program, “Révélations Lancôme”, whose goal is to prepare senior high-school students from priority education areas to enter the best art and cultural institutions. Other programs will follow.
